Phil is passionate about owner-managed enterprise. For him, it is the heart and soul of our economy and civil society. Since graduating from the University of Toronto Law School (JD) in 1980, Phil has advised hundreds of business owners and partnerships and helped his clients buy, sell, and finance hundreds of businesses, commercial properties, and hotels, while also assisting them in managing business partnerships and other strategic relationships.

Phil has an extensive hotel practice, including buying, selling, financing, franchising, and managing hotels and resorts in Ontario and across Canada, working with hotel ownership and development groups, and presenting at and participating in industry conferences.

Phil practices in association with Mack Lawyers through his professional corporation, and not in partnership.
